Conlon, Tom

Qualifications: B. A (Mod), MBA, Diploma in Group Work Practice, Prince 2 (Project Management), EFPA (European Federation of Psychological Associations) Level 2 certificate (Ability and Personality Testing)

Background Information

Tom has in excess of twenty years' experience gained primarily in the financial and management consulting sectors. He has extensive hands-on experience of enabling change and transformation with individuals and groups in organisations. Tom received a BA in Economics and Politics from Trinity College Dublin in 1984 and an MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago in 1991. He is also certified practitioner (Prince 2) in the area of Project Management

Tom is a volunteer with the Saint Vincent de Paul Society and is a member of Social Justice Ireland (www.socialjustice.ie). He is also a National committee member of the Irish Group Analytic Society. He works, in his spare time, as a reporter/commentator with Open Tempo Sport FM

Personal Statement
My style is best described as democratic and humanistic, but also challenging and, at times, radical. I pay a lot of attention to the social aspect to group work, conscious that change experienced in a group has manifest impact on the external (e.g. organisational, societal) environment.
